Clients in Sessio
Each client is a profile plus the history attached to it: sessions, notes, and billing. The profile is where you look before the next conversation, so the useful details are close at hand.
The profile
Open a client and edit the profile to change name, email, phone, pronouns, time zone, status, tags, and notes. The same form holds practice type, default session type, package, and payment method. Session rate on the profile is the billing default for that person, which saves you from retyping a fee every time. Practice type is the coaching category, such as career or leadership. You can change the category list under Settings, then Practice, so the labels match how you actually group your work.
The profile notes field is standing context, such as an intake summary. Dated writing belongs on the Notes timeline, not in that box. Keeping those two apart makes the profile easier to scan.
History
On the client, Coaching Info and Session History are the quick read before the next conversation. Open Commitments shows the latest commitments from recent completed sessions, which is often the most useful thing to glance at as someone sits down. Billing indicators on the same profile show what is paid, pending, or overdue for that person.
The list on the left switches clients. Search, and the Active, All, and Archived filters, narrow who you see when the list gets long.
Spreadsheets
Import and export are both CSV. A row needs a first name and a last name. Common optional columns include email, phone, practice type, status, rate, default session type, time zone, payment method, tags, and notes. Map your headers if they do not match. Rows missing a name are skipped, so a blank line in the sheet will not create an empty client. Import creates new records and does not merge duplicates.
Export downloads those same core fields. The file opens in a spreadsheet for backup or cleanup. If you plan to import it again later, keep the header names stable so the next import is less fiddly.
Archive or delete
Archive hides a client from the active list and keeps the profile, session history, notes, and billing so you can bring them back. That is the kinder option when someone pauses and might return. Use the Archived filter to find them.
Delete removes the profile from your workspace. You cannot restore it from inside Sessio. Past sessions, billing, and ICF hours remain in your records, but the profile itself is gone. Upcoming sessions for that client are cancelled. If you might work with them again, archive instead.
